The sea trout season in Rio Grande, Argentina, is coming to an end. As tradition has it, we receive an update from our good friend and 2instincts team member J. Carlos.
And another season with very good fishing can be entered into the catch reports for Despedida lodge. This is pleasant reading for us who return annually to this lovely place. We have become truly fond of the whole team at Despedida and look forward to starting the new year with a bang again in 2025. For those of you who would like to join us to Despedida, now is the time to reserve the trip, which takes place in the first part of January 2025. We think there is no better way to start the new year.
Carlos has also sent us some fine pictures from the salmon season in Argentina. Above you can see Mike from the USA, who tested and then bought his first N2 rod this year. The rod, our N2 at 9.6 ft in class 8, was perfect for Mike and his fishing. Mike was so excited about his new rod that he used it for King Salmon as well. And it was a tremendous success. What fine, large fish Mike caught on his new N2 rod. It must have been absolutely fantastic to play such monster fish on a single-handed rod. We congratulate Mike warmly and also send thanks to Carlos for the fine pictures we can use.
We have also received regular feedback from our guides in Argentina who focus on Golden Dorado. The season so far has been very good, which bodes well for the continuation. Water levels and long periods with good water temperature have contributed to enjoyable days. Lars and yours truly got a taste of this already in January this year. We had very fine catches then, and we look forward to our next trip, which takes place in November this year.
