It is a great pleasure for us in 2instincts to welcome you back to Skeena River Lodge in Canada.
Here we fish for bright, large King Salmon. The king of salmon. A fish that delivers wild runs and puts both angler and equipment properly to the test.
This is a trip for fly fishers who want heavy fishing, big fish and long runs in brilliant nature. When a large King Salmon takes and goes, everything has to work. Rod, reel, backing, knots, brake and calm in the body.
We stay at Skeena River Lodge, a fine lodge located right by the Skeena River. The lodge has single rooms for all anglers, good facilities and a very fine setting for the stay.
2instincts visited this lodge in autumn 2023, 2024 and 2025. We strongly recommend both the lodge and the guide team.
The guides are very experienced. They are skilled fly fishers themselves and know the area, the rivers and the pools well. Safety is well taken care of, and the fishing is planned according to the conditions each day.
Normally, two anglers fish per guide and boat.
The fishing takes place on the Skeena, Kalum and Copper, depending on water levels, conditions and where the best opportunities are. These are strong systems with large fish, and the fishing programme is of high quality.
The opportunity to land several large, bright King Salmon is good. It is a major experience in itself when these monster salmon go full throttle after being hooked. Plenty of backing is a must.
Full board with good food and drink in beautiful surroundings awaits at the lodge. After long days by the river, it is good to come back to food, conversation and new plans for the next day.
