Course A. Start-up
For those who want to get started with fly casting and fly fishing.
Course A is for those who want to get started with fly casting and fly fishing. No prior knowledge is required.
The course runs over 3 evenings of approximately 3 hours each evening.
We calmly go through the most important things you need to get started with one-handed fly fishing. You'll see how the equipment is constructed, what the various parts do, and how the rod, reel, line, leader and fly work together.
Among other things, we go through:
- one-handed fly casting
- fly selection
- leader and fortom
- fly line
- function and use of the fly rod
- practical details that are good to have with you when you go fly fishing
The aim is that after the course you will be well-equipped to fish with a fly on your own - and eventually catch fish on a fly.
The loan of one-handed equipment is included in the course. This means a rod, reel, line, leader and fly/pot. If you have your own equipment, you can of course use it. If you're not sure what you have or what's suitable, we'll figure it out together.
Price per participant: NOK 1,500
Duration: 3 evenings of approximately 3 hours
Maximum number of participants: 6 people
